One reason for this is their magnificent coat which enables them to stay warm and dry year round even in winter and that means that they can stay outside on the pasture and that you can leave their stable open to the elements. In this respect, if you have the land or can rent it, or if you can find somewhere else to tie up your horse – then actually they’re fairly easy to look after.

The reason this is important is simple – if you don’t know then it can cause you to make mistakes when looking after your horse and these can include for instance lying a blanket over your horse which surprisingly can actually make it more difficult for your horse to keep warm naturally.
