The Pinto Horse

The Pinto horse is a kind of horse that is most known for its coat color. In fact, its coat color is actually made up of large patches of white and other colors. In other nations, Pintos are described as coloured. This is actually a type of horse that was bred this way throughout history. This is also a horse that has been around a long time. In fact, they say that the Pinto horse is a type of horse that was around during prehistoric times. They are very popular horses nowadays, and because of that, many nations are not encourage to actually breed these Pinto horses.

To understand the Pinto horse, you have to understand the different patterns that it can have. Whenever people are talking about a Pinto horse, they are going to go over the different patterns that could be on it. All of these patterns have a different name, and we are going to go over these Pinto patterns right now:

First of all, there is the Chrome color. This is a term that is just used to describe a very flashy horse pattern that may not fit into the other patterns we are going to talk about.
Then there is the medicine hat. This is a very uncommon pattern to find, but it is out there. This is where the poll and the ears are dark, but they are surrounded by nothing but white! Of course, to be a true medicine hat Pinto, it has to have additional characteristics as well.

Then there is the Cropout pattern. This is just the name that you would give a horse that has spots and is a Pinto, but the parents of that horse do not have any spots at all.

Last, but not least, is the shield look. Most of the time, this looks like a large dark patch that overs the chest. Then from there it is completely surrounded by white. Mostly, horses that are like that are mainly all white, besides the shield on their chest.

There are so many patterns out there that you have to choose which one you are going to be the happiest with. Overall, people really do love these horses.
