Spotted Mountain Horses
The Spotted Mountain Horse
There are a lot of great horses out there, but one of the best is the
Spotted Mountain horse. This is a horse that is well known for getting
the job done and being full of power. As you can guess, they are a lot
like normal Mountain horses, except they have spots (hence the name
Spotted Mountain horses). Of course, there are a few things that you
should know about their personalities. Today we are going to talk about
the overall characteristics of the Spotted Mountain horse so that you
know what to expect from it. It is very important to know all you can
about these horses. You are going to find out that they are very
helpful, and they can get most jobs done. However, because they cost so
much money, there could be other horses out there that are more
beneficial to your needs than Spotted Mountain horses.
First of all, Spotted Mountain horses are gentle when it comes to
people. Although most horses are not,, these horses can be trusted
around just about anyone. Not only that, but they have a very willing
disposition. As you can clearly see, these horses are already off to a
really good start as far as their personalities go. However, the good
news does not stop there. On top of all that, they also have a very
smooth four beat gait under saddle. The horses themselves are not very
big. They are usually about 11 hands high. There are a few that can get
up to 13.3, but it does not happen very often. There is a 'class b'
type of Spotted Mountain horse that can get up to 14 hands, but as said
before, that is a different class. The look of those horses is very
stunning as well. They have a very nice beauty about them and
refinement as well. Although you are not going to think that its
the prettiest horse that you have ever seen, you are going to agree
that it is a good looking horse.
There are a lot of things that have to be looked at before the horse is
called a Spotted Mountain horse. First of all, the structure of its
body and bones need to be of medium build. They are very compacted by
they still have to be very strong. Not only that, but they need
an attractive cob side head. The head also has to have a very pleasing
facial composure. They also need to have medium length necks that have
a medium thickness to it. If the horses can meet these requirements, as
well as other requirements, then they are can be labeled as a Spotted
Mountain horse. However, if you miss out on one of the requirements,
then it will not be labeled as such. Overall, these are great horses
that just need someone to take care of them and ride with them. Most
people note that these horses are great pleasure riding horses. They
are well known for their ability to be ridden on hard trails that go
though the mountains. This is great, because it can be hard to find
horses that can handle going through the mountains.
